The Waitless app is a concept that was pitched at Startup Weekend DC in 2013. Startup Weekends are 54-hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers, and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups!
I served as the lead designer in the Waitless group. The concept of the app is straightforward: it allows you to pre-order your coffee on your way to work, school, the gym, etc. The primary goal of Waitless is to save customers time by avoiding the line, decrease errors in verbal orders and promote customer loyalty to coffee shops who offer the Waitless service. Though the Waitless group did not win Startup Weekend DC in 2013, we were mentioned by the judges as the best researched idea.
